Additional Info. Youngest Son Of George And Martha Landels Love, (Rope Manufacturer) Of White House, Dunshalt, Fife. Pte Love was educated in Kirkcaldy High School, emigrated to Canada in 1910, settled in Montreal as an engineer. Volunteered for Imperial Service enlisting in the 94th Battalion Canadian Expeditionary Force on the 19th November 1915, transferred to the 4th Battalion on arrival in England.
He is buried in Bennochy Cemetery, Kirkcaldy beside his Brother-in-law Australian Infantryman Frederick Torson.

V.C. Citation reads 'For his conspicious bravery during the Cavalry Charge at El-Teb on the 29th February last, in bringing Lieutenant-Colonel Barrow, 19th Hussars, out of action. That officer having been serverely wounded. and his horse killed, was on the ground surrounded by the enemy, when Quatermaster-Sergeant Marshall, who stayed behind with him, seized his hand and dragged him through the enemy back to the regiment. Had Lieutenant-Colonel Barrow been left behind he must have been killed.' London Gazette Issue 25356, Page No. 2278, dated 21st May 1884.
