I've just started posting recently and have found a couple of instances when changes have been made to my post overnight. Can anyone confirm this and whats happening?!
Thanks.
Jim

Sorry Jim, one was me where I changed the details from the CWGC database where you'd got it wrong. You'd looked up the father's name instead of the son.
I was going to drop you a message but you've noticed first. I didn't think you'd pick up on it so quickly! Embarassed
I don't remember doing any others but put up the details and it will jog my memory if it was me.

Regards

Adam

Hello Adam,
No problem! It wasn't a complaint as I noticed it was corrections (both were alterations to my original CWGC entries). It just spooked me a bit as I didn't know this was possible and I thought I was going batty Shocked
Also I was a bit bothered about it as on both occassions I double checked and triple checked the CWGC entries and could only come up with a fairly close match while you hit the target, which makes me wonder if there's some kind of knack with the CWGC site that I havn't mastered.
Again no problems, feel free to keep me right anytime in the future!
Cheers.
Jim

(p.s. you must be as much an insomniac as me Wink )

Jim

I thought it came up with a little bit of text at the bottom of the post if it had been edited but obviouly moderators can make changes without it being recorded.

I've spent several years trawling through the CWGC site so I suppose I'm an old hand at it now. I used to visit the Central Library in Edinburgh to use their pc before I splashed the cash on my own so that means the CWGC online database has been around for at least eight years and I must have done several thousand searches since then.

If I make any more changes I'll let you know when I do them rather than being too smart and thinking I'll catch up the next day.

Cheers

Adam

I think perhaps the Moderators should put some text at the bottom of a post we have edited. I'll make sure I do that in future.
